G.P. DE S.A.R. LE PRINCE MOULAY RACHID - A FIRST GROUP PA FOR AL MOUNTEZE MONLAU

CASABLANCA (MOR), 20th November 2016

Gr.III PA, 3yos, 1,750m, 800,000 dirhams

Trained by Élisabeth Bernard, Al Mounteze Monlau (Nashwan Al Khalidiah) left the opposition behind in the Grand Prix de Son Altesse Royale le Prince Moulay Rachid (Gr. III PA), winning by eight lengths. He finished in front of the Thomas Fourcy trained Al Hayyem (Amer) and Diabolo Hipolyte (Nashwan Al Khalidiah), a horse trained by Christophe Lermyte.

A special horse

This win has a particular taste for Élisabeth Bernard: “I was very happy because Jean-François, with the help of Marie-Ange Bourdette, both thought of the breeding of his dam and sire. He does not look like any other horse we have trained, not even to his sire, Nashwan. I love him.”

The family of Djainka des Forges

Al Mounteze Monlau is the only horse by Tadri (Saklawi Jadrane) registered on France Galop. His second dam, Djarisa des Forges (Samsun), winner of four races, is also out of Djari des Forges (Chéri Bibi), winner of the Critérium des Pouliches (Gr. I PA). She is a sister of Djamour des Forges (Tidjani), the dam of the champion filly Djainka des Forges (Kerbella), winner of four Group I PAs, including the Qatar Arabian World Cup in 2014, at Longchamp.
