H.H. SHEIKH ABDULLAH BIN KHALIFA AL THANI CUP - TM THUNDER STRUCK KEEPS HIS TITLE
DOHA (QA), 12th January 2017
Gr. III PA, 1,600m, QAR 300,000
TM Thunder Struck (Majd Al Arab) did not make any mistakes in a racing day entirely under the colours of his owner, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani. It is under his eyes that he won by five lengths the Group III PA he had already won last year. He had then finished sixth of the Emir’s Sword (Gr. I PA) before being beaten by a very short distance in the Dubai Kahayla Classic (Gr. I PA). In France, he came third of the Qatar Cup (Gr. I PA), and did not run the Qatar Arabian World Cup (Gr. I PA).
Olivier Peslier had come especially over and made the best out of his trip. He won for the same owner and trainer, Alban de Mieulle, the H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani Trophy, the richest race of the day. He was riding Majeed (Amer) and defeated Taraf (Burning Sand). He also imposed himself in a good race with a young 4yo and very well born, Yazeed (Munjiz), first foal of the champion Al Dahma (Amer).
