French Arabian Breeders' Challenge Pouliches - Cheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan - A PODIUM IN THE COLOURS OF YAS HORSE RACING

TOULOUSE (FRA), 26th October 2017

Gr. II PA - 3 year olds - Fillies - 1,600m - € 45,000

Najah (Munjiz), Joudh (Mahabb) and Wadeeaa (Mahabb) took the three steps on the podium in that order in this 2017 edition of the French Arabian Breeders' Challenge for fillies.  Together they have shone the spotlight on their owner, Yas Horsedddddddddd Racing.

Quickly up to the line of combat, Najah was the sharpest away in the straight to win. She was in front of Joudh, the starting favorite, and Wadeeaa.

Already the winner of the Prix Razzia III (Gr. III PA) on her competition debut, Najah added another Group PA race to her record for the training establishment of Frédéric Sanchez.

Yas Horse Racing is the racing operation of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who also bred these three fillies at Wathba Stud Farm.

Racing manager for Yas Horse Racing, Martial Boisseuil could only rejoice to see these three homebreds belonging to Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the podium in such a race: "It’s great for the breeding operation. I was expecting it, but I didn’t know in what order. Wadeeaa has never had to battle before. She has beaten horses that I wouldn’t consider as extraordinary, but she did it with great ease. We didn’t know if she would stay the trip. She showed a good turn of foot in the finish, and could have even been second. Joudh has run a lot this season. She ran a little flat today, and her jockey said turning into the straight he already knew that they wouldn’t win. Najah was unlucky when she ran at Bordeaux where her jockey Jean-Bernard Eyquem took the wrong decision, whilst recently at Saint-Cloud, she was blocked in by another runner. Najah breathed well and won easily, as she has had less racing than the others and has more experience. However if you ran the race again in a couple of months, the result could be different".

An active bloodline from the stock of Sheikh Mansoor

Najah is a daughter of Dahwa (Tidjani), lauréate du Prix de l’Élevage (Gr. II PA). She is a uterine sister to the talented Salaamah (Njewman), who won three races at 3-years-old, including the Emirates Equestrian Federation International Stakes (Gr. I PA) at Newbury, as well as Aryaan (Kesberoy), dam of Naseem (Mahabb), winner of H.H. The President Cup (Gr. I PA) and the Maktoum Challenge Round I (Gr. I PA). Najah is a full sister to two colts trained by Frédéric Sanchez, Bandar, winner of two races and third in the Qatar Derby des Pur-Sang Arabes de 4 ans (Gr. I PA) as well as Thabit, a four-time winner including the Coupe du Sud-Ouest des Pur-Sang Arabes (Gr. III PA). All these horses run in the silks of Sheikh Mansoor.
