Ihtesham proves to be the revelation of the United Arab Emirates season
After making a winning debut in a 3-year-old fillies in November, Ihtesham (Af Albahar)
followed up when pitted against the ‘boys’ in the Abu Dhabi Championship (L PA) at the end of the year. This was the prelude to the Ibrahim Al Hadhrami charge, ridden by Polish rider Szczepan Masur, completing a hat-trick in Round 1 of the Arabian Triple Crown (L PA) on February 9th. Consequently the filly remains undefeated, having cleaned up in each of three starts at Abu Dhabi. She’s a daughter of the successful French PA sire and Haras de Thouars resident Af Albahar (Amer). Born in France, Ihtesham was bred by Ali Surour Shahwan Al Dhaheri on behalf of the Ben Shahwan Arabian Horse Stables. She is a descendant of À La Volée (Djelfor).
