Boum de Ghazal opens his account
Miss Boum Al Maury (Boum de Ghazal) landed the Prix Aïssa - Prix Véronique Briat in the colours of Mohamed Fahad Al- Attiyah at Toulouse on June 6th, having dominated the Gr1 PA placed Belqees (Mahabb). The victory of the madame Jean-François Bernard runner, bred by Renée-Laure Koch, provided the sire Boum de Ghazal (Zippy Al Maury) with his first winner. Miss Boum Al Maury is this stallion’s only runner listed as in training in France, and his produce records reveal that he has sired just three horses! A smart 3-year-old performer, Boum de Ghazal collected third in the French Arabian Breeder's Challenge won by Al Mamun Monlau (Munjiz). As a 4-year-old, he slammed the future Gr1 PA winner Radames (Kerbella) by four lengths. Beaten the minimum distance by Al Mamun Monlau in the Coupe du Sud-Ouest, he scored a subsequent six lengths success in the Prix Dormane (Gr3 PA).
