ARABIAN TRIPLE CROWN ROUND III - AL ZAHIR STAYS UNBEATEN IN THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

ABU DHABI (UAE), 19th March 2017

Gr. III PA, 4yos, 2,400m, AED 300,000

Winner of the Round II of the Arabian Triple Crown for his debuts in the Emirates on the 5th of March, Al Zahir FR (Madjani), signed another success two weeks later in the Arabian Triple Crown Round III (Gr. III PA). This former Thierry de Laurière French trained horse, remains unbeaten in two runs in the Emirates, and now is trained by Ali Rashid Al Rayhi.

Placed behind the first horses in the race, Al Zahir had to wait for an opening 300m from the post, but once he was launched, the Madjani son never gave a chance to his rivals, imposing himself easily in front of three other Éric Lemartinel trained horses including Darius du Paon FR (No Risk Al Maury) and Mawahib FR (Abu Alemarat), respectively second and third. The podium is made of three ‛FR’ horses.

Ali Rashid Al Rayhi said after the race: “He is at ease on the turf and dirt. He is a horse full of promises.”

His second dam, Hammdie Class (Dormane), gave birth to Royal Class (Kesberoy), brother of Petite Class, who won the Arabian Triple Crown Round I (L PA) after winning the Jumeirah International Stakes (Gr.
