After his victory in The President of the UAE Cup - Coupe d'Europe des Chevaux Arabes (Gr. I PA), on the 14th May at Deauville, Shadwell’s champion Arabian racehorse Muraaqib (Munjiz) now has a date with the crack of Al Shaqab Al Mourtajez (Dahess). This confrontation could take place during the month of October, on Arc weekend, in the 2017 edition of the Qatar Arabian World Cup (Gr. I PA). However, we could see an upset in this duel from the younger generation. Ebraz (Amer) won the latest running of the Emir's Sword. He was carrying less weight, however the style of his win was that of a top class horse.

If he could come and knock the two favourites of the podium, Ebraz would be giving a fourth win in the Qatar Arabian World Cup to the Al Shahania team. A record. The racing operation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani has had an exceptional start to the season, in particular with wins in the Emir's Sword and in the Dubai Kahayla Classic (Gr. I PA).

In April, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani’s team opened the doors of their French base, Haras des Cruchettes, to us, for what is the first report in the French press on this structure. The silks “blue with white stars” have won at the highest level in Purebred Arabian racing as well as Thoroughbred. By bringing together the large part of the stable onto this Normandy property, the Sheikh is now perfectly placed to begin a new chapter in his racing odyssey. Considering the quality of his broodmare band, and of his stud, he would appear to be well placed to write the greatest pages in the history of his silks.
