Sylvine Al Maury, Karimah and Worood to stud

On the 6th December, the Royal Cavalry of Oman announced that three of their best Purebred Arabian fillies would be retiring to stud including two daughters of Munjiz:  Sylvine Al Maury (Munjiz), Karimah (Munjiz) and Worood (Akbar) will all be heading to Haras du Berlais.

The champion Sylvine Al Maury won eight Group races including four Grs I PA, under the guidance of madame Jean-François Bernard. In France, this filly, bred by Renée-Laure Koch, will be particularly remembered for her sparkling performances in the Qatar Total Arabian Trophy des Juments and in the Doha Cup (Gr. Is PA), against the boys.

Karimah, who is from the first crop of horses bred by the Royal Cavalry of Oman, won the French Arabian Breeders Challenge Pouliches - His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup (Gr. II PA). Across the Channel, this François Rohaut-trained filly finished second in the Shadwell Arabian Stallions Hatta International Stakes (Gr. I PA). Finally, Worood, another homebred for the Royal Cavalry of Oman, won the Prix Nevadour (Gr. III PA). Trained by Charles Gourdain, she came with a remarkable finishing run to take second place in the Qatar Arabian Trophy des Pouliches (Gr. I PA) at 3 years old.
