Morocco: No Risk Al Maury to the fore
Casablanca racecourse was the setting of two Grs3 PA events at the backend of November, the Prix de S.A.R. le Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan open to 3-year-olds and upwards, plus the Grand Prix de S.M. le Roi Mohammed VI, the preserve of PA horses aged 4 and above. Salma Nour Grine (No Risk Al Maury), a familiar presence in France last season where she was trained by Élisabeth Bernard, and placed several times at PA Group level, took the honours in the aforementioned ‘Grand Prix’, and, in doing so, she gifted her owner-breeder M'Hammed Karimine a prestigious victory. The opposition was truly humbled on this occasion as the filly won easing up by eight lengths. She was also the first filly to capture the Gr3 PA prize. No Risk Al Maury, the sire of the filly considered to be the best horse in the Kingdom, was the author of a tidy double as he also boasts the paternity of the other PA Group winner on the card, Al Noury. The 4-year-old was a course Listed winner last winter for former handler Thomas Fourcy. He has since joined Éric Legrix and continues to defend the colours of Zak Bloodstock.
