PRIX DE S.A.R. LE PRINCE MOULAY RACHID: DAHLIL FAL GAINS ANOTHER PRESTIGIOUS WIN
CASABLANCA (MOR), NOVEMBER 20th, 2022
L PA - 3-year-olds - 1,750m (1m and 165 yds) - €71.872
Already the winner of the Poule d'Essai des Poulains des pur-sang arabes in early September, Dahlil Fal (Dahor de Brugère) yet again showed that he is among the best of his generation by winning the Prix de S.A.R. le Prince Moulay Rachid (L PA). The colt accounted for the hot favourite Marjana Atlas (Shart Al Khalidiah) and the Gérald Mossé-ridden Jalil Grine (No Risk Al Maury). Dahlil Fal is trained by Rhattas Bouchaib, who handles a string of 70 PA horses on behalf of the Fal Stud, the racing division of vet Azzedine Sedrati. His colours and breeding operation shone brightly during Morocco’s International Meeting which yielded four wins, three of which were gained by English thoroughbreds on the Saturday card.
Following Dahlil Fa’s return to the winning circle, Rhattas Bouchaib said: "The horse was spot-on. I was really hoping that he would win today! Dahlil Fal was previously placed at Listed level. Now he is a Grand Prix winner. I have been training the Fal Stud horses for a year. I have 70 PA horses in my care."
Emanating from a Haras National de Pompadour line
Bred by the Fal Stud (Azzedine Sedrati), Dahlil Fal is a son of Dahor de Brugère (Dahess), a sire based at the Haras du Grand Courgeon, and Nuit Sainte (Djarni des Forges), who was bred in France at the Haras National de Pompadour. The latter was unraced. The grandam, No More Dopping (Kesberoy), was second on her debut at Montauban during a six race career. She has only had one runner in France to date. The great grandam Nasse de Loyre (Djelfor) features in the pedigrees of Al Jeali (Amer), a quintuple winner in Qatar, and the Polish PA Group winner No Neveur Saularie (Dahess).
